In Agropoli after berthing in the local marina we are wined and dined in a garden setting by Franco and his wife. Our waiter who speaks English well is also Franco so that makes the evening easy. Franco senior is a frustrated film maker and has made and posted innumerable home videos which he insists I watch. He makes a copy for me on a USB.

We’re loving the variety of locations selected on the Amalfi coast for our Italian Rally. One day we are in a simple ‘undone’ place and next day in a busy ‘must do’ stopover. Mussels on the menu in a tiny restaurant for lunch, shopping, cameras clicking, two nights…much enjoyed. One of our crews elected to spend the second night in a bay and had a bonding night which was also an option

Historically a prison and island of exile, it is difficult to believe that this island has had written history from BC Rome. The Roman harbour is partly carved from the volcanic ‘tufa’ which created the topography. The beaches are dark volcanic sand but the waters are clear and a protected natural area. Diving is on offer and the divers in the group enjoyed this to say the least!
