Glorious Greece

Maggie's avatar By Maggie | 24 Sep 2015

I love these balmy evenings ashore in Greece. The end of the summer season is looming but as I sit here gazing at the soft warm light of the night streets and the welcoming smiles from the locals, I can’t imagine winter has ever shown its face here.

Maximum chill in Porto Massimo

Lauren's avatar By Lauren | 14 Sep 2015

There are only a handful of restaurants in this town and although I have been coming here for many years, I have only ever been to one. The Uluru of Sardinia

Lauren's avatar By Lauren | 04 Sep 2015

Billed by some as the Uluru of Sardinia, Tavolara rears precipitously 470m out of the sea about 15 miles south of Marina di Portisco. The island is a declared NATO base on the charts, but there’s absolutely no sign of even the military. Oh well, even if it’s not true it makes for a good story that I will be telling everyone from now on.

Grandeur at hotel Luci di la Muntagna

Maggie's avatar By Maggie | 03 Sep 2015

We are only in this hotel because the Le Sirene at Portisco, where our Rally yachts are based, is undergoing renovation but next time we will use the Muntagna by choice. The outlook is sensational, the staff are willing and the architecture reflective of the style of the Costa Smerelda.
