From Sicily in the south to Elba in the north the western shores of Italy offer a wonderful cruising destination.
When cruising the Tuscan coast cross between the coast and through the islands of Elba and Giglio 10 miles away. Harbours are slightly sparser along this coast, which includes the major port of Livorno as well as marinas at Marina di Carrara, Viareggio, Salivoli, Talamone, Santo Stefano, Punta Ala Marina, Porto Ercole and Marina di Cala Galera.
The Tyrrhenian Coast is the most populated part of the Italian shoreline, including the major cities of Rome and Naples. The Pontine Islands of Ponza, Ventotene, Ischia, can lead into a cruise along the Amalfi Coast and take in Capri.
