Gulet Charters

  • Pronounced “goo-let”, these beautiful timber sailing vessels were once used for trade and fishing along the coast of Turkey. Over the years the gulet has evolved into a luxury charter vessel where the fish you find on board are served up by your chef. Today, Gulets are skilfully crafted by third or fourth generation boat builders with comfort in mind!

Gulets have broad "beam" and are stable motor/sailing vessels which, depending on your preference, can sail or motor as you like. They are suited to families, groups, the adventurous traveller or those looking for pure relaxation. Absolutely no sailing experience is necessary.

From Turkey, Croatia, Greece and Italy we have personally selected and inspected  the gulets we offer. All include crew and your own chef. They are air conditioned and each cabin features a private en-suite. There are spacious outdoor and indoor areas for relaxing and dining.

Mariner Boating personally inspect the range of gulets we offer to ensure the crew, standard of service and the condition of the gulet meets our high standards.

  • Hi Laura, Maggie & Trevor, Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for your advice, assistance and work in making our gulet adventure so wonderful. The gulet was a superbly comfortable cruising boat for our party of 13. We felt in very safe, capable hands with our captain Mahmut who navigated the waters beautifully for very smooth sailing. The food prepared by our cook George was delicious and welcome by all. Mustafa and Isner should not go without mention for their wonderful attention to detail. The captain and crew were especially lovely with the children and we would certainly welcome them all back for future adventures. It was also great to have Dina meet us in Kos and give as the 'low down' on the boat and crew before we set sail. Your own travel tips for restaurants and itinerary were most welcome and very helpful. We were spotted by Sylvia in Vathi before we even had a chance to introduce ourselves! Sylvia was totally gorgeous and we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Poppy's. We would highly recommend this boat and crew to others and needless to say, we have all totally fallen head over heels for Greece and sailing holidays. Thank you once again

Trevor and Maggie, it was an extraordinary experience and one that will stay with us forever. It was one of the greatest things I have ever done and I think the rest of our party would agree. The Gulet was absolutely fabulous. It was such a beautiful wooden boat, clean, comfy, solid and huge with plenty of space to be alone if you wanted. The bedrooms were great even the smaller ones. The crew were charming and professional. To be honest it's hard to find anything that we weren't happy with in our seven days on board. And for that we only have you to thank. So from all of us, efkaristo! Hopefully we'll get to do another trip like this one again.

    Experience: Gulet Charters

We have returned from 10 days on the gulet "Ya Selam" in the area of Turkey's Turquoise Coast between Gocek and Kekova Roads. From our initial contact with the Agent's representative to watching "our" gulet depart for its home port in Bodrum after we disembarked in Fethiye we reflected that there was not one thing that could have been done better. The crew were so helpful that it was embarrassing yet they remained unobtrusive. We had expected to average one meal ashore each day, in fact we had none! Meals on board were too good to miss. Ya Selam was the prettiest vessel wherever we anchored and we spent hours admiring her from sea and land. The crew seemingly always had a cloth in hand polishing varnish and removing any spray from windows and obviously had great pride in their gulet. Accommodation was attractive, comfortable and spotless. Our party of 13 ranged in age from 3 to 75 years but our captain always provided a schedule to meet our needs as if we had programmed it ourselves. He was a very kind man who seemed to anticipate our every need. The trip was wonderful and I can't speak highly enough of the captain and crew of the Ya Selam.

We had a wonderful experience sailing the Dodecanese islands with our family in July 2014. The captain and crew were fantastic and the food phenomenal! The gulet was so spacious and comfortable. We were able to plan our trip exactly as we wanted. Whether it be docking in tiny bays and heading into picture postcard tavernas, or jumping into crystal clear water this was one of the best holidays we have ever had. Mariner Boating gave us the reassurance we were dealing with a professional outfit especially when we got to Turkey. Everything was in order. Thank you so much for helping make this trip so special!
