“Wild Rose” owner takes out the prize for Mariner Croatia Yacht Rally“Wild Rose” may not have been a winner on the water in the Sail Port Stephens Race Week but owner roger Hickman was certainly a winner when his name was pulled out of the bucket as the winner of the trip for two to Croatia donated by Mariner Boating Holidays. The trip is for the Croatia Yacht Rally, a one design rally using a fleet of Beneteau 45 yachts which will be conducted in June 2011 in this ever popular destination.Roger (“I have never won anything before!”) was almost speechless when he realised it was his name that had been plucked from the bucket. He was quickly surrounded by a crowd of well wishers congratulating him on his luck.It was the perfect end to a great week which was enjoyed by sailing teams from interstate and from local surrounds who participated in the second of these events to be held at Pt Stephens. Mariner Boating Holidays announced they will again support the event in 2011 so put the event in your program and join the fun and action in Pt Stephens next April.
