How do I know the charter yacht will be in good condition?

Over the years we have built a comprehensive portfolio of preferred charter operators who have proved their competence and with whom we have a personal relationship.
What sort of insurance do I need to charter a yacht, are the boats insured?
On top of your charter fee, you also will be required to pay a security deposit. Depending on the charter operator this deposit may be refundable, reduced (by a waiver) or a minimal non-refundable amount. The security deposit is the charter operator's insurance excess for the yacht, so this will be the total amount you are liable for if any damage or loss occurs to the yacht during your charter.
We strongly recommend that your travel insurance policy provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of US$200,000 for each of the heads of cover.
